Dr. Ena Vazquez Nuttall, Ed. D. formerly of Newton died on Oct 20, 2011 at the Kathleen Daniels Nursing Home in Framingham. She was 74.
Born and raised in Salinas Puerto Rico she received her BA from the University of Puerto Rico and her Masters in Psychology from Radcliffe College. She later received her Doctorate in School Psychology and Counseling from Boston University. She taught at the Bouve` College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Northeastern University for over 15 years and served as Dean and Director of the Graduate School at Bouve`, until her retirement as Professor Emeritus in 2008. She had also taught at UMASS Amherst and Boston College. She was a member of Div. 16 (School Psychology) of the American Psychological Association and had received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Assoc. of School Psychologists. She was active with the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy's committee of Institutional and Policy level strategies for increasing the diversity of the U.S. Health Care Industry.
She was the wife of the late Ronald L. Nuttall, and loving mother of Key Nuttall and his wife Libby of E. Seattle WA and Kim H. Nuttall of Framingham. She is also survived by her grandchildren of Aidan, Conor and Keegan Nuttall and her sister Angala Cesani of Puerto Rico.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited at attend visiting hours on Thurs Oct 27 from 4-7 PM in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner. Interment services will be private.
