Ethel Kaye Gillis, 80, Front Royal, Virginia, formerly of Medfield and Needham, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal, Virginia. She was born in Malden, Massachusetts.
She was the beloved wife of Frederick Linwood Gillis, formerly of Prince Edward Island. They were married for 56 years. Devoted mother of: Deborah Berwaldt and her husband Stephen, of Medfield, Massachusetts, David Gillis of Front Royal, Virginia, and Anne Carolus and her husband Ross of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Loving grandmother of: Christina Pipgras and her husband Matthew of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lindsey Long and her husband Norman of Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire, United Kingdom, Hannah Berwaldt, Zachary Berwaldt, and Jeremy Berwaldt, all of Medfield, Massachusetts. Jami Starling and her husband Aaron of Rochester, Minnesota, Wendy Stark and her husband Michael of Ruther Glen, Virginia, Tom Gillis of Richmond, Virginia, and Benjamin Gillis of Front Royal, Virginia.
Ellis Carolus of Medfield, Massachusetts, Eva Carolus of Bowling Green, Ohio, Samuel Carolus and Spencer Carolus, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Great-grandmother of: Phoenix and Gillis Pipgras, Chloe and Mateo Starling, and Langston Stark.
Pre-deceased by Cecil and Ella Kaye, of Needham, MA and Megan Berwaldt, of Medfield, MA. Funeral Services at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday December 19, 2011 at 12 noon. Visiting hours on Monday from 11-12 Noon prior to the service.
