Obituary
Ferne Jeffers Weissman, age 90 of Needham, Massachusetts died Wednesday April 26th, 2023 at Care One in Concord, MA.
Born April 3rd, 1933 in Meigs County, Ohio, she was the youngest daughter of Rodolph and Ina Jeffers. She was the last surviving member of that generation.
Ferne lived in Athens Ohio and then moved to Philadelphia, PA. Ferne was a model and went on to become the executive secretary to the president of an advertising firm. In the late 1960’s she moved to Newton Massachusetts until 2009 when she moved to nearby Needham, MA.
Ferne is survived by many generations of nieces and nephews all over the country.
There will be a private funeral service for family and then she will be buried at Newton Cemetery and Arboretum in Newton, Massachusetts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Southeast Ohio History Center. Ferne was an avid Ohio historian and family genealogist.
