Francine (Navin) Cook, 82, died peacefully on May 28, 2026.
She grew up in Needham and had also lived in Marblehead and Chelmsford. She graduated from UMASS Amherst with a degree in nursing and received her master’s degree from BU.
Fran was a labor and delivery instructor at Deaconess School of Nursing and later practiced nursing at Emerson Hospital in Concord.
Fran was a gentle, kind, and caring woman and an avid animal and nature lover. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Fran was predeceased by her husband; Roger Cook and her parents Frank and Bettey Navin. Survivors include her sisters Kathy Higgins, Marilee Navin, Betty Ann Scanlon and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Mon June 8 at 11 AM in the Eaton Funeral Home, Needham. Interment will be private.
