Francis A. "Frank" Griffin

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Frank Griffin's passing at the age of 84, after a brief illness. He was born on March 12, 1939, in Newton, Massachusetts to David and Vera Griffin. He was a long Time resident of Needham Massachusetts. He passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in Newton, Massachusetts.

Frank was a man of great character, and He was hardworking, loyal, kind,  humble and dedicated. He was a demolition foreman at Edifice Wrecks where he exhibited his excellent leadership and technical skills, earning him the respect of his colleagues.

Throughout his life, Frank had a passion for woodworking, building, landscaping, nature, and gardening. He had a gift for creating beautiful things with his hands that will be cherished for generations to come.

Frank is the brother of Edward Griffin, and sisters, Carol, Maureen, Leona, and Joyce.  Frank is survived by his wife of many years, Mary "Bird" Griffin (Fillmore), his loving son Frank Griffin Jr. and his wife Mary, his daughter Rachel and her partner Jim, his cherished grandchildren Benjamin, Emily, Gavin, and Meghan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held to honor Frank's life, and his memory will be dearly treasured by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Frank Griffin.
