George Abraham Obituary

George A. Abraham, of Wellesley, died on Saturday, July 2nd at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was 87 years old. Born in Beverly, George was the son of the late Sidney and Olga (Nesje) Abraham. He grew up in Wellesley and was a graduate of Wellesley High School Class of 1941. George was a US Army World War II veteran. He graduate from Penn State with a BA degree and received his Masters Degree from Northeastern University. He worked for Raytheon as an Industrial Engineer for his entire working career, over 30 years. George was a Life member of the Wellesley Masonic Lodge. A passionate gardener, he will be well remembered by family, friends and neighbors for his immense generosity in sharing the harvest of his huge garden. The beloved husband of the late Irma (Engelbrecht) Abraham, he was the loving father of Edith Lemire and her husband Bruce of Goffstown NH, Helen Trumbour and her husband Jon Sellow of Sherborn, Arthur Abraham of Tyngsboro, Carol Hall and her husband Andrew of Tunbridge VT and the late Susan Abraham and her late husband Dick Lamphere. Father in law of the late Dennis Trumbour. Brother of the late Irene Emerson Grandfather of Dennis Trumbour and his wife Mara, Johanna and Melissa Trumbour. Funeral Services will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church 543 Greendale Ave Needham on Wednesday, July 13 at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invite to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. In lieu of flowers donations in George’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St, Watertown MA 02472.
