Geraldine N. (Chappelle) Tracy

Geraldine N. Tracy passed on Sunday May 6, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Walter Chappelle and Florence (German) Chappelle of Buffalo NY. Wife of the late Jay S. Tracy Sr., beloved mother to Jay S. Tracy and his wife Carol of Walpole, and Janet T. Yered and her husband George of Millis. Loving grandmother to Kimberly Whelan and her husband Adam of Medford, Michelle Yered and her Fiance' Doug Berquist of Morristown NJ, Jay Tracy and his wife Nancy of Cambridge and Theodore Tracy of Walpole. Also survived by her first great grandchild, Addison Olivia of Cambridge. Survived by her brother Robert Chappelle of Vermont. Predeceased by her brothers Walter Chappelle, Maurice Chappelle and her sister Elizabeth VanderMeid. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tracy was raised in Buffalo, NY.S he attended The National Park School in Washington DC. She was an avid gardener, who also enjoyed knitting and cooking but was happiest when she was at the beach. She loved to read and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, but her greatest love was her family. Mrs. Tracy was a long time employee of Carter's Co in Needham. Her family will remember her wonderful sense of humor, and her fighting spirit to overcome any obstacles in front of her. Her family will miss her deeply. Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Friday, May 11 at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in Geraldine's name may be made to the Permanent Memorial Fund of the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland Ave Needham MA 02494.
