Mahoney, Gertrude E. (Mattern), 92, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Needham, September 11, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Francis X. Mahoney. Loving mother of David of Indianapolis, IN; Nancy Watson of Santa Clara, CA; and Paul of Las Vegas, NV. Sister of the late Lawrence Mattern and Cecelia Eisele. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Gertrude was educated in private schools in New York City and attended Good Counsel College. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave., Needham, on Saturday, September 24, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gertrude's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
