Harding M. Ounanian of Needham in his 101st year, passed away on Aug 10, 2021. Devoted husband of the late Marjorie (Storm) Ounanian, he is survived by his sons Harding M. Ounanian Jr., and Douglas W. Ounanian and his wife Jane, his daughter Lee Allison Ounanian and her husband Thaddeus Cline, and granddaughters Kristen and Emily. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Raised in the Armenian Apostolic Church, he faithfully supported the spiritual lives of his wife and children. In addition to his love of and dedication to his family, he was especially proud of his time in the US Army Air Corps, where he served as a cryptographer during WWII. For part of the war, he was stationed at Bletchley Park in England, where the German Enigma code was broken. It was also during WWII, while training in St. Louis, that he met his beloved Marjorie. Harding was a graduate of Northeastern University's School of Law and practiced in Newton and Wellesley. He had been a longtime resident of Needham.
A private interment service was held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place at Christ Episcopal Church in Needham on Thurs Oct 14 2021 at 11 AM..
