Helen M. (Mahoney) Travers

Helen M. ((Mahoney) Travers of Lexington died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was 83 years old. Helen grew up in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She worked for many years as a clerk for Stone and Webster. Helen was a member of Mary immaculate of Lourdes parish in Newton Upper Falls. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of Anthony J. “Jim” Travers of Lexington. Helen was predeceased by her siblings, John Mahoney and Theresa Enochs. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday May 18 at 9 AM followed by a Latin Requiem Mass at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot St, Newton Upper Falls at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 9AM to 10AM prior to Mass. Interment at MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday at 2:15 PM.
