Irene Murphy Obituary
Irene S. (Lupien) Murphy, of Newton died on June 5, 2011 at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Weston.
She was 82.
Irene was born and raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School and Lasell Jr. College. She had worked as a Lab Technician for Brighton Marine Hospital and the Boston VA Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Edward B. Murphy, and the loving mother of James Murphy and Edward K. Murphy both of Newton, Lisa Berry of Jacksonville FL and the late David Murphy. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends on Thurs. evening June 9 from 6-8 PM in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be sent to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108.
