James A. "Jimmy" Brown

James “Jimmy” Brown, 72, a lifelong resident of Needham MA, passed away on August 11th 2023. James was born on December 12th,1950 to his parents, Marian and Everett (Allen) Brown of Needham. 

James was the beloved and devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, Cheryl (Mercuri) Brown. He was the loving father to his daughter, Jessica (Brown) Weintraub and her husband Jason of Medway, and to his son, Michael Brown of D.C. He was the cherished grandfather of Jack and Owen Weintraub and is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and his sister Elaine (Brown) Neeland.

James served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1969-1971 and then went on to become a police officer for the Dover police department before retiring as an inventory control manager. He loved spending time with his family, watching his Grandson's play sports, early mornings fishing on the lake, taking day trips with his wife and spending time with his cat Abby.

He will be missed by his large family and many friends who are comforted by the many fond memories and fun times shared together with Jimmy over the years.
