James B. Gamble of Mashpee, formerly of Newton Upper Falls, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011. He was 96 years old. Born in Needham, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sadie (Buetta) Gamble. Jim attended Needham Public Schools. He worked for many years for Stowe Woodward in Newton Upper Falls and retired from New England Concrete Pipe Company also in Newton Upper Falls. Jim was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was the beloved husband of the late Alma (Polucci) Gamble and the loving father of Jacqueline A. Egan and her husband Kenneth of Marshfield, Mary E. Lempitski and her husband Steven of Mashpee, Joyce F. Quinn and her husband David of Foxboro, James M. Gamble of Needham and the late Dolores Hinden and her husband Peter of Mashpee. Jim was predeceased by 7 siblings and is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday, March 21 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6 PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley.
