James J. Pepicelli of Melrose formerly of Newton died on June 26, 2010 at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose. He was 88.
Jim was born in East Boston and had lived in Newton for over 50 years before settling in Melrose. He was a member of Bricklayers Union Local #3 and had worked for the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority.
Jim was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Marchand) Pepicelli, and is survived by his children Warren and his wife Dania of Marshfield, Jean Kilian and her husband Jim of Tyngsboro, William and his wife Betty of Brockton and John and his wife Sandra of Coral Springs FL. He was the dear companion of Dot Mortellite of Melrose. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alex, Brian, Connor, David and Caitlin and many nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
His funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Thurs July 1 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude’s Church 147 Main St. Waltham at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Wed 4-8 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
