Janet P. Muldoon age 88 of Needham passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 surrounded by family. Janet was a lifelong resident of Needham, MA and was known for her time serving as a Needham crossing guard. She was an avid fan of all sports and more than anything Janet loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time at Laurel Lake in New Hampshire and was proud of the family that she built. Janet was the beloved daughter of the late Anna and Raymond Gehling, and wife of the late George B. Muldoon. Janet is survived by her four daughters Debbie Muldoon, Zita Muldoon, Barbara and the late Leon Granahan, and Susan and James Collins. Her son Raymond Muldoon predeceased her by four years. She will be deeply missed by her four grandchildren and their spouses Shawn and Melissa Muldoon, Kimberly and Matthew Pitts, Devyn and Layne Lovett and Kayla Collins, as well as her great-grandchildren Carter and Madison Muldoon, Christian and Drew Pitts, and Lacey and Cayden Lovett. A graveside service will be held at the Needham Cemetery, 128 Nehoiden Street on Thursday, May 8th at 2pm. Following the service, all are invited to celebrate Janet's life at a reception at the Needham VFW located at 20 Junction Street.
