Jean M. (Crozier) Dolan

Jean M. (Crozier) Dolan, a longtime resident of Needham, passed away early April 13, 2011 at Briarwood Healthcare in Needham. She was 85 years old. Jean was born in Arlington, the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Stapleton) Crozier and attended Lexington High School. She was a dedicated housewife and part-time employee at Calvert’s Department Store. Mrs. Dolan was a member of the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church in Needham. She was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Along with her countless hours of devoted service to Wisteria Chapter, where she served as treasurer for 2 terms. Jean also held the title of Worthy Matron and was also Deputy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter. She was a very giving person, extremely selfless and would do anything for her friends and family. Jean loved hosting social gatherings, attending organ concerts, was an avid reader and had a passion for gardening. Jean was the beloved wife for 64 years of James E. Dolan of Needham and the loving mother of Wayne S. Dolan of Ft. Lauderdale FL and Craig S. Dolan and his wife Maxine of Norfolk. She was the dear grandmother of Jeffrey C. Dolan of Norfolk. A Funeral Service will be held at the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday, April 19 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting will be held in the church on Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM prior to the service. Interment services will be held at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in Jean’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 311 Arsenal St, Watertown MA 02472.
