Jean Olive (Snook) (Snook) Girard

Jean Olive (Snook) Girard, 95, was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on February 18, 1916. Her family moved to Bible Hill Nova Scotia in 1922 and in 1926 moved to Cambridge, MA where she attended and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin in 1934. In the early 1940’s she moved to Newtonville, MA and resided on Page Road until her marriage to Roland J. Girard in 1958. Jean has been a 70+ year resident of the Newton’s. Jean was pre-deceased by her husband Roland on April 4, 1965. She is also pre-deceased by her sister Mary L. Graves of Belmont, MA and her brother John A. Snook of Rochester, NH. She is survived by her nephews Walter S. Snook of Woodinville, WA and John B. Snook of Worcester Ma and her niece Jane E. Tesla (Snook) of Worthington, MA and many great nephews and nieces. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner on Sat May 14 from 2-4 PM. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to your favorite charity in Jean’s name.
