John A. Bibbo

John Anthony Bibbo, 85 died suddenly on November 3. Longtime employee of Gamewell Fire Alarms. John was very active in the community, especially with the youth of Newton Upper Falls. He spent many years coaching Babe Ruth baseball, youth basketball and was a men’s basketball coach in the Newton recreation leagues. He met the love of his life at one of the coaching events and married Mary Kedian in 1977. In his spare time, he loved to spend time watching all the Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Celtics and the Boston Red Sox. He will be missed by many.

He was the husband of the late Mary (Kedian) Bibbo. Father to Daniel and Robert Sheehan and Kevin Bibbo. Grandfather to Katie Sheehan, Damian Bibbo, Nolan Sheehan and Hailey Bibbo. Son of the late Nicholas and Maria (Sammarco) Bibbo.  Brother to the late Raffaelle and Janet Bibbo, the late Nicholas and Shirley Bibbo, the late Donald and Theresa Bibbo, the late David Bibbo, the late Anne Marie and George Giunta and Connie and the late Joseph Vachon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews.  Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7pm at Eaton Funeral Home in Needham. The funeral will be held at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes in Newton on Wednesday at 10:30. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham will be on Mon Nov 18 at 11 AM
