John H. Kempster Jr. of E. Taunton formerly of Lexington and Weston died suddenly Nov 2, 2010. He was 62.
Born in Boston, John grew up in Weston and graduated from Weston High in 1966 and later from Rutgers University and received his Masters in Business from Babson. He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany. He was a member of Dalhousie Lodge F & A.M., Aleppo Temple Shrine and the Scottish Rite.
John was the son of the late John H. and Sherley (Lang) Kempster, and is survived by his sister Elizabeth L. Christo and her husband Jeff of Acton, his nieces Laura Christo of So. Boston and Anna Christo of Somerville, and his companion Barbette Hicks of E. Taunton.
The family will receive friends on Thurs Nov 11 from 7-9 PM in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER. A Masonic Service will be conducted by Dalhousie Lodge F & AM at 8 PM. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John H. Kempster Jr. Scholarship Charity Fund at Dalhousie Lodge, PO Box 187 Dracut, MA 01826-0187.
