John D. Ridill, Jr.

John D. Ridill Jr. of Needham MA died peacefully on Dec. 29 at the age of 79. He was the son of John D. Ridill and Eileen Parkin Ridill.  He is survived by Dyanne M Ridill, his loving wife of 47 years, his sister, Nancy Eileen Ridill, his sons, John Parkin Ridill and his wife, Heather and their two daughters, Isla and Makenna of Hingham, MA and David R Ridill and his wife, Kimberly of Portland ME.

John was a longtime resident of Needham, graduating from Needham High School, Class of 1963. He attended Norwich University, Class of 1967 and Northeastern University where he received his MBA. John was with Merrill Lynch for many years as a Financial Advisor. He served on many advisory boards including Norwich's Partridge Society and the Board of Trustees of Mt Ida College.

He was an avid golfer and a past member of Brae Burn Country Club.  He also enjoyed outdoor activities including skiing, fishing, and hockey with his family while also coaching many of his sons' teams.

Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham,  on Thursday, January 9th from 4-7pm. A Memorial Service will be held at The Christ Episcopal Church, 1132 Highland Ave, Needham, on Friday, January 10th at 11am.
