Josephine A. Wallis (Pigaga), 101 years of age, born August 6, 1910 and a resident of Needham, MA for most of her life, died on April 12, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. The beloved wife of the late Harold W. Wallis and loving mother of Virginia Hoffman of Hollis, NH, formally of Needham, and Elizabeth Madden and her husband Robert of Needham. Our beloved "Nanny" was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to so many over the years. Josephine loved her home, garden and needlework, and created many treasured quilts for her family. She worked in many local businesses and served the Town of Needham as a switchboard operator until retirement. A private service is planned.
