Joyce (Small) Bishop

Joyce (Small) Bishop passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at her home. She was 81 years old. Born in Portland Maine, Joyce was the daughter of the late Asa Martin and Doris Brown Small. She was a graduate of Clark School for the Deaf and Needham High School. Joyce attended The Boston Museum School of Fine Art evening division and Bryant and Stratton Business School. Mrs. Bishop was a longtime resident of Needham and participated in the activities of the Needham Senior Center and the New England Home for the Deaf.
The beloved wife of the late Norman L. Bishop, Joyce is survived by her sister MaryEllen Edgerly and her husband John of Farmington Maine, 2 nephews Robert and Richard Edgerly and their wives. She was predeceased by her brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. Asa M. Small Jr. Funeral Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
