Judi MacPhee Child

Judi MacPhee Child passed away as a result of a tragic fall on Aug 27, 2023.

Judi was the daughter of William and Annie MacPhee of Needham and was a graduate of Needham High and the Chandler School for Women. She was a dental assistant for 40 years, managed activities at various nursing homes, provided home health care for private patients, and ran her own part-time business (Sancor Monogram) for 20 years. At age 82, she continued to work part time at Lovell’s Florist in Medfield. She was exceptionally creative with decorations, knitting, sewing, cooking, all while raising two wonderful sons.

She married Kilburn Lang Child Jr, in 1964 and continued her work as a dental assistant in Ft. Huachuca, AZ while Kip served in the U.S. Army. Judi and Kip have many connections in Needham but have lived in Westwood since 1973.

Judi is survived by her husband, her two sons and their wives; W. Scott and Sarah of Barre, VT; and Kilburn III (Skip) and Stacey of Needham, and 5 super grandsons: Derek, Keenan, Dylan, Camden and Jason.
