Julie Denise McHugh

Julie Denise McHugh, 81, of Brighton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.  Julie was born on March 4, 1944, in Brighton, Massachusetts to William and Adele Kelley.  Julie graduated from Presentation Academy in Brighton and earned an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from Bentley College.  Julie worked in marketing at Sun Microsystems and Diebold in banking securities while raising her three children Frank Jr., Michael, and Julie.  She loved the nuances of literature and the English language and relished the ability to tell wonderful stories. This love of language and storytelling were eclipsed only by her love of family. Julie poured herself into her children, her nieces and her nephews.  Her unique ability to make each person feel like the most special person in the room was her superpower and enriched the lives of those who were blessed to know her.  She is survived by her sons Francis and Michael, her daughter Julie, her daughter-in-law Joanne and her grandchildren, Ellie and Finnegan. 

A Memorial Mass was held at St. Columbkille’s Church in Brighton on Wednesday, May 21st. Interment is Private.
