Kathleen (Sullivan) Burke

Kathleen (Sullivan) Burke, 68, of Needham, died January 20, 2011 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. She was 68.
Born in Stoneham, she was a graduate of Girls Catholic High School in Malden, St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing, Boston College School of Nursing and Northeastern University Graduate School of Education. A retired registered nurse, Kathleen was a former president of the St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing Alumni Association. She was a longtime volunteer at St. Bartholomew Parish in Needham as a CCD teacher and parish nurse.
She was the beloved wife of 36 years of Thomas M. Burke, loving mother of T. Michael Burke and Mary Burke Tricolli and her husband Mark, all of New York City, devoted sister of Eileen M. Sullivan of Stoneham and Stephen F. Sullivan and his wife Peggy of Metuchen, NJ. She is also survived by niece Kate M. Sullivan and nephew Stephen J. Sullivan of Metuchen, NJ, as well as many cousins.
Her funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave, Needham on Mon Jan 24 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Sun from 4-7 PM.
