Kenneth Wegner Obituary

Kenneth Walter Wegner, Ed D., retired Boston College and University of Oregon professor, passed away 2/12/21 in Needham, Massachusetts, leaving behind Ruth, his loving wife of 57 1/2 years, sons Erik (wife Beth) and Steve (wife Bonnie) and much adored grandsons Brian and David.

He received three degrees from the U. of Kansas, was a Major in the Air Force, and continued service for many years to the Air Force by interviewing and evaluating Applicants for the Air Force Academy in the New England area.

He was active in the Grace Lutheran Church in Needham. He was a handyman, avid reader who always found time to support family and friends.

He is also survived by his sister Irene Tittel of Odessa TX., Virginia Wegner of Houston TX. and brother in law Gordon Brynildsen of Kerrville TX. He was predeceased by parents Adolf and Erna, brothers Richard and Vinson and sister Helen Nation. 

Memorial donations can be made to: Disabled American Veterans, Grace Lutheran Church in Needham or the Needham Community Council.

Services will be held at a later date.
