Kevin J. Murphy

Kevin J. Murphy of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Newton and Harwich, passed away on March 27, 2024.

Kevin was born and raised in Newton and was a graduate of St. Sebastian’s School and Boston College. While at BC, he was a member of the ROTC and served in the Army after graduation. He owned and operated Patriot Envelope Company for many years. Kevin was an avid golfer and was a member of Cranberry Valley in Harwich and Cape Royal Golf Club in Cape Coral where he was a member of the 32 Club.

He was the son of the late James E. and Margaret Murphy and brother of the late M. Bernadette Casey. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Suzanne Casey of Newton, Janice Casey-Frase and her husband Gerrit of North Falmouth, Diane Palazesi and her husband L.J. of East Sandwich, and Thomas C. Casey and his wife Martha of Winchester as well as grand nieces and nephews Emily and Karl Anderson, James, Grace, and Liza Palazesi, Alexandra and Thomas Casey, and Conor Frase. 

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 2, in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Newton, followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Kevin to St. Sebastian’s School, 1191 Greendale Ave, Needham, MA 02492 would be appreciated.
