Laura Brown, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 23, 2024. She was born March 22, 1953 to the late Aurora and Dawson Brown.
Laura was a lifelong resident of Needham and loved her town. She was an active member of First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Needham. She enjoyed working in retail, getting lunch and spending time with friends, singing with her church choir, and taking care of her cat Shiloh. She enjoyed family time at the Cape, as well as independent travel to visit family and explore places of her interest. In her younger years, she graduated from UMass with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology, and at one point had learned and spoke 5 languages in total.
She is survived by her sister Suzanne Pavone (Michael Pavone), brother Vincent Brown (Marian Brown), nieces Kristina & Natalie Pavone, and Amy & Jodi Brown, and one great niece Aurora Tzavaras. She will be greatly missed by her family and community.
A visiting hour will begin 12:30PM on Sun June 1 until 1:30PM when her memorial service will begin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Laura to the American Heart Association.
