Laurie Ann Casey, 53, of Westwood passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born June 3, 1968 to Paulette Murphy and the late Richard Murphy. Growing up in Newton, Laurie attended Our Lady’s Newton Catholic where she made lifelong friends. She worked at Fred’s Country Store and later Cafe Bafone in Needham. Here she met her husband Paul “Butch” Casey. They later married, May 1, 1993 and began their adventures together. As NASCAR fans they traveled many years to attend the Daytona 500. One of Laurie’s most cherished places to be, however, was with her husband and family at their summer home in Centerville on Craigville Beach. It was here that Laurie fell in love with photographing the sunsets on the cape. On July 15, 2003 Laurie and Paul welcomed their two beautiful children Hailey and Christopher into the world. They were the light of Laurie’s life, she loved them more than words could ever describe. Her love and devotion for them was expressed daily through her support with all they did. Laurie is survived by her husband Paul, twins, Hailey and Christopher, and daughter Brittany, her mother Paulette Murphy, brother Michael Murphy, sisters, Debbie Goddard, Karen Maclean, Jennifer Sharpe, Kathleen Murphy, mother in law Judy Casey, sister in law Lynn Kelleher and many nieces and nephews.
