Lawrence Lamar "Larry" Norman

Lawrence “Larry” Lamar Norman born Apr 30 1931 in Dover, Georgia, died on Sat Dec 19, 2020.

Larry served in US Air Force 1950-1954 and graduated from Auburn Polytechnic Institute in 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. 

He was employed by a division of Honeywell which later became Loral and eventually became British Aerospace. 

Upon retirement he volunteered extensively in Needham - Glover Hospital - later BIDH, the Meals on Wheels program, Instillation of Life Lines and also at Pine Street Inn in Boston. 

He leaves his wife of 39 years - Christine Sahan Norman of Needham. Also step-son Taras A. Zommers with wife Jacki and grandchildren Ryan and Tasha of Needham, daughter Julia Leonard with husband Geoffrey and granddaughters Charlotte and Alexandra of Walnut Creek California and

daughter Stephanie Bontemps with husband Douglas and grandsons Andrew (with wife Alena Borgati) and Gregory (with fiance Claudia) of Lafayette, California. He also leaves behind his sister - Carroll Kline (with husband Kyler) of Buckhead Georgia and many nephews, nieces and friends.

A memorial celebration of life will be held in spring/summer of 2021.
