Leo Joseph “Mark” Jr. Thomas, formerly of Newton died on Dec 1, 2021. 

Leo a gradute of Newton High School and Boston State College. Leo retired after 34 years with NE Telephone/Verizon and worked as a teaching assistant at the Horace Mann School in Newton

He was the son of the late Leo J. and Patricia (Kelleher) Thomas and brother of the late Richard L. and Stephen R. Thomas. He is survived by his brother Michael and his wife Donna of TX, his sister in law Janis Thomas of Waltham, his nieces and nephews, Michael Jr and his wife Hannah, Courtney, Jennifer and her husband Dan, Kathleen and her husband Tyler and Stephen and his wife Lindsay and great uncle of Sarah, Daniel, Matthew, Brendan, Raymond, Owen, Wesley, Stephen and Camden.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Sat Dec 4 at 10:30 in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Newtonville. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Assoc would be appreciated.
