Linda (Parsons) Grandy of Dover, formerly of Hingham, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on October 29th, after a short battle with cancer.
Linda is survived by her mother Patricia Parsons of Kingston; her two daughters Sarah M. Perdoni of Dover and Deborah Parsons Twombly of Plymouth; Her sister Marilyn P McDonald and her husband Daniel of Clinton; Her brother Robert Parsons and his wife Patti of Marshfield; her three grandchildren Joseph and Reece Perdoni and James Twombly. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and many other dear friends and extended family. Linda is predeceased by her father Robert E Parsons and her son in law Joseph Perdoni.
Linda graduated from Hingham High School in 1969 and went on to attend UMASS Amherst. She worked for many years at the Dover Post Office and as a paralegal.
Though Linda lived an incredibly full life, nothing gave her more joy than time spent with her family, whether sitting enjoying a Cape Cod sunrise or watching her three grandchildren play sports, Linda’s happiest moments were in life's quiet simplicities; a fishing pole, a good book, a long bike ride or a garden that needed tending.
A talented artist, Linda drew much of her inspiration from many of the coastal landscapes she frequented. Friends and relatives' homes are filled with beautiful watercolor representations of the places and things she truly loved. Linda’s creativity and resourcefulness could transform the most muted space into something beautiful.
She will be missed by all that loved her and her legacy lives on in the beauty she created, the love that she shared and the values she upheld.
