Lisa Chao Obituary

In Loving Memory of Lisa S. Chao
Born: February 23, 1972 - Passed Away: November 15, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a truly extraordinary woman, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and beloved sister and aunt, Lisa S. Chao.  Born in Boston, MA on February 23, 1972, she graced our lives with love, generosity, unrelenting strength and a vibrant passion for life.

Lisa was the heart of our family, a source of unwavering love and support. As a devoted wife of 23 years to Paul Chao, their bond of love and partnership was a beacon for all who knew them. Her children, Matthew, Christopher, and Andrew (and Buster) were the joys of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance that will forever resonate in their hearts.

Lisa was a cherished daughter to Peter Moy (predeceased) and Helen Moy and a beloved sister to Benjamin Moy and his wife Eileen, Tina Chow and her husband Julio and Lucy Moy and auntie to numerous nieces and nephews.  Her family was the heartbeat of her life, and her presence brought joy and unity to all family gatherings.

In addition to her passion for interior design, Lisa found joy in cooking, painting, weekly trips to Home Goods, playing Mahjong and nurturing a beautiful garden. Her culinary creations brought family and friends together. The strokes of her paintbrush and the blooms in her garden captured the beauty she saw in the world around her.  She also pursued a path of academic excellence, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University, a Master’s degree from Boston College and her CPA designation. She held numerous positions in the finance industry.

Visiting hours to celebrate the vibrant life of Lisa will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4PM to 7PM at Eaton Funeral Home (Needham, MA). The family appreciates the condolences and support during this difficult time and kindly requests donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/) or Turning The Tide - Ovarian Cancer Retreats (turningthetideovariancancerretreats.org/) in honor of Lisa S. Chao.

As we mourn the loss of this multifaceted and remarkable woman, let us also celebrate the legacy of love, creativity, and beauty she leaves behind. May Lisa’s soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire love and compassion in us all.

With heartfelt thanks,
The Chao Family
