Lois D. Gibson

Lois D. Gibson of Newton, who last resided at Evans Park Assisted Living, Newton, MA and, just prior, Amherst, MA passed on September 25, 2010 with her daughters, Jayne H. Gibson (Newton, MA) and Margaret M Gibson (Braintree, MA) by her side.
A strong and independent woman who fought Alzheimer’s/Dementia for 7 years, Lois is predeceased by her husband, John B, and sisters Dorothy Stroup, Virginia Messenger, Margie Martin. A 1955 graduate of Boston University and a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, Lois was employed at Bay State Medical Center/Wesson Women’s Hospital (Springfield, MA) and Leonard Morse Hospital (Natick, MA), while John’s career with Graybar Electric Company advanced.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Lois’ life at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Fri Oct 1. Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM prior to service at 7 PM. Burial in Amherst, MA will be private.
