Lois Murphey Obituary

Lois E. Murphy of Walpole died on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Norwood Hospital. She was 64 years old. Born in Elmira NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold M. and Marsha (Hamilton). Lois was a graduate of the MacDuffie School in Springfield and Chatham College in Pittsburgh. She worked for many years as an administrator for the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Massachusetts. Lois was a member of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist. She loved travelling throughout the world and spending time with her grandchildren. Loving mother of David Skalka and his wife Michelle of Johns Creek GA. Sister of Alice Murphey of Yonkers NY and Thomas J. Murphey of Pleasanton CA. Dear grandmother of Jacob and Ben Skalka. Aunt of Gretchen and Winifred Murphey. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Tuesday, February 28 from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist, 980 Memorial Drive, Cambridge on Wednesday February 29 at 11AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in Lois' name may be made to the Society of Saint John the Evangelist, 980 Memorial Drive, Cambridge MA 02138-5717.
