Lucille DeLano Obituary

Lucille Anne DeLano, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 4, 2024 at The Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood.  Born in Dorchester, Lucille was the youngest of six who grew up and was a long-time resident of Jamaica Plain.  Her favorite pass time was reading and taking care of her dogs, Babe and Shadow.  She also volunteered with the Showa Friendship Circle, Showa Boston Institute as a host family.

Lucille was preceded by her parents Laurence and Gertrude Malo, her brother Laurence, and sisters, Marguerite, Madeline, Evelyn and Dorothy.  She is survived by her sons Jonathan, and Brian and his wife Albertina.  She is also survived by her “adopted” daughter Mayuko, and many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for all the joy and kindness she gave to everyone she met.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Eaton Funeral Home, Needham, MA followed by a gravesite service at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree MA.
