M. Bernadette (Murphy) Casey

M. Bernadette (Murphy) Casey, of West Newton, died on January 10, 2021.

Bernadette was a lifelong Newton resident and a graduate of Our Lady’s High School. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas H. Casey, to whom she was married for 58 years.  A devoted mother, Bernadette leaves her children Suzanne Casey of Newton, Janice Casey-Frase and her husband Gerrit of North Falmouth, Diane Palazesi and her husband L.J. of East Sandwich, and Thomas Casey and his wife Martha of Winchester. She was the cherished grandmother of Emily, James, Grace and Liza Palazesi, Alexandra and Thomas Casey, and Conor Frase.  She also leaves her brother Kevin Murphy of Cape Coral, FL. She was predeceased by her parents, James E. and Margaret L. Murphy, Sr. and a brother, James E. Murphy, Jr.  Bernadette cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren, on the Cape. 

Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Church. All attendees must follow COVID 19 distancing protocols and wear face coverings.
