Margot H. Jacobs

Margot H. Jacobs, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at her home in Needham. Born in Elsterberg Germany, she emigrated to the United States as an infant. She grew up in Astoria, NY where she graduated high school and attended the City College of New York. She married her husband Charles in 1949 and eventually settled in Needham where they raised their three children. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Jacobs, Jr. of Falmouth and her son Christopher Jacobs of Colorado. She is survived by, son Clifford Jacobs (Julia Fantone), her daughter Megan Rothwell (Chris Rothwell), her daughter-in-law, Brenda Jacobs (Hogan) of New Hampshire and her grandchildren Jessica Jacobs and Clifford Jacobs, Jr. Margot loved music, art, and reading novels. She cherished her time spent at her summer home near Nauset Beach. Anyone who spent time with her won’t soon forget her quick wit and occasional inappropriate language. Her sense of humor and kindness will be sorely missed.
