Marilyn Louise Medler

Marilyn Louise Medler, of Framingham, MA, passed away on April 16, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. She was 84 years old. Marilyn met her late husband, Carroll, square dancing in 1980 and they were wed in 1982. An avid gardener, Marilyn served as the Flower Committee Chair at her church. She enjoyed creating one-of-a-kind knitted, crocheted, and counted cross-stitched items for her friends and family. Before retirement, Marilyn was an operating room Nursing Supervisor with a love for helping others. She was incredibly smart and seemed to know a little something about everything…always beating her family in a game of “Jeopardy!”

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Medler, her parents, Ralph and Ruth Morton; her brother, Ralph Morton, Jr.; and her son, Harvey Medler. Marilyn is survived by her daughter Holly (Lloyd) Howes; her granddaughter Jamie (Ryan) Getchell; and three loving great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her adoring cousins Sandra and Scott (Amy) Gatchell and Karen (William) Gatchell Young. 

A Funeral Service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Friday April 22nd at 11:00AM.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Shriners Children’s Hospital of Boston where Marilyn served as a nurse for many years.
