Marion Aufiero Obituary

Marion H. "Garb" (Smith) Aufiero, 89 a resident of Needham for 33 years passed away peacefully on August 25, 2011 at Newton Healthcare Center. Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Ethel (Garland) Smith. Marion was a Navy veteran of World War II and worked for Raytheon Corp. in Quincy, MA where she retired from with over 30 years service. Marion will always be remembered for generous and giving ways.
Marion is remembered as the loving mother of Ethel Levangie and her husband Donald, of Needham,whom she resided with. She was the sister of Stella Mace of North Carolina and Ruth Howland of Berkley, Ma. Marion was the grandmother of, Jennifer Levangie of Watertown, MA and Jeffrey Levangie of Oklahoma and was blessed with three great grandchildren, Richard Levangie of Waltham MA, Sarah Levangie of Southbridge MA. and Steven Levangie of Dudley MA.Marion also leaves three beloved nieces, Sydney Mace of North Carolina, Nancy Corn of North Carolina and Sharyn Howland of New Jersey. Marion loved them all very much. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday, August 29 from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral services and interment are to be private for family. In lieu of flowers donation in Marion's name may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116.
