Marjorie Brady Condon of Natick, MA passed away peacefully in her sleep at Saint Patrick’s Manor, Framingham, MA on May 1, 2025. Midge grew up in Needham, MA, where she loved summers as a lifeguard at Rosemary Lake. She graduated from Needham High School and subsequently enjoyed helping plan class reunions.
Midge attended college but left before graduating to care for her mother. She later married David Condon of Natick and they started a family. As the children grew, Midge remained very involved in the community, actively participating in Girl Scouts, Little League, and church activities. Raising her family in a close group of neighbors, her home was frequently the center of neighborhood gatherings. With her wise-cracking sense of humor, Midge was often the life of the party.
Midge later worked at Digital Equipment Company, EMC and Sears, but enjoyed most her time helping displaced homemakers while working for the Town of Natick. Throughout much of her adult life her constant companions were the women of “The Book Group”, with whom she frequently traveled. When she wasn’t reading a book, Midge could often be found with a paintbrush in her hand and was frequently in pursuit of capturing just the right lighting of the clouds at Cape Cod. But nothing brought her greater joy than her beloved grandchildren. Whenever possible, she would attend sporting events, band concerts, take them to the movies, go apple picking and join trips to the farm. From her, they learned the importance of creativity, speaking up for yourself, and being independent.
Midge was predeceased by her sister, Trudi J. Farnham of Needham, MA, and her brothers John E. Brady of Needham and Chelsea, MA, and James I. Brady of Orlando, FL.
She is survived by her children, Ted (Cathy), Carole (Allan), Doug, Jim (Sarah); 7 grandchildren, Ian, Sean, Glynnis, Zachary, Michael, Emily and Eric; 8 great grandchildren, Ezra, Favian, Lindsey, Wyatt, Cali, Quinn, Jamie and Casey as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment will be held at the Needham Cemetery, 128 Nehoiden St, Needham, on Tuesday, May 13 at 10am, followed a Memorial Service in the Chapel of Christ Episcopal Church, 1132 Highland Ave, Needham at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
