Marjorie (Fisher) Stone, 84, of Franklin formerly of Wellesley died on May 25, 2011 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Bonavista, Newfoundland, Canada, she came to the US in 1955. She resided in Brighton and later in Wellesley for more than 20 years before moving to Franklin. She was a longtime active member of the Newton Presbyterian Church, where she taught in the Vacation Bible School and was involved with the various womens groups.
She was the beloved wife for 61 years of Malcolm A. Stone, loving mother of Muriel MacLeod and her husband John of Franklin, grandmother of Andrew, Amanda and Philip, and sister of Clarence Fisher of Gander, Newfoundland.
A funeral service will be held on Sat May 28 at 11 AM in the Newton Presbyterian Church 75 Vernon St. NEWTON CORNER. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Fri 4-7 PM. Interment The Gardens at Gethsemane West Roxbury.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newton Presbyterian Church Building Fund 75 Vernon St. Newton MA 02458 for the Stained Glass Windows.
