Martha MacMillan Obituary

Martha C. (Judson) MacMillan of West Newton died at her home on July 2, 2010. She was 87
Born in Inverness, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, she had lived in Newton for over 49 years. She graduated from nursing school and had worked for Dr. Thompson in Newton Highlands and at the Beth Israel Hospital and New England Medical Center. Martha was a member of the Newton Presbyterian Church for almost 60 years where she had been a Deacon, was active with the New-2-U thrift shop and the Riverside Ladies Aid.
Martha was the beloved wife of the late Alexander “Sockie” MacMillan, and the loving mother of Judy MacInnes and her husband Fraser of Framingham, Sandy Siciliano and her husband Joe, and Janice Daly and her husband Fran all of West Newton, Malcolm and his wife Diane of Framingham and Diane Clary and her husband William of Belmont NH. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and was the much beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charlie Judson, Nellie MacEachern and was pre deceased by 6 half brothers
A memorial service will be held on Wed July 7 at 1 PM in the Newton Presbyterian Church 75 Vernon St. Newton Corner. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Tues 4-8 PM. Interment will be in East Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newton Presbyterian Church Christian Education Fund or Benevolent Fund.
