Mary Frances Boyle, "Fran", longtime Needham resident passed away on Friday, December 18 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. She was 85 years old. She was the daughter of Mary Alice (Kennedy) Boyle and Dr. Frank Boyle, DMD.
Fran attended the Needham Schools and completed her Bachelor and Master’s degrees at Framingham State. She taught for over 30 years in the Acton-Boxborough School system as a Home Economics and High School Chemistry teacher.
Her lifelong passion was her dogs. She owned Keeshonden for over 40 years. She was a member of the Heritage Trail Keeshond Club for many years and later a member of the Wachusett Kennel Club, where she served as treasurer for many years, and was a lifelong member. She was also a member of the Keeshond Club of America.
