Mary T. (Donahue) Grew

Mary T. (Donahue) Grew, 87, of Friendship ME, formerly of Dover, died October 30, 2011. Born in South Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain. She was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs, and Bentley College. She lived in Dover, MA for nearly 50 years, then retired to Friendship, ME. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ret. Colonel Henry D. Grew, three sons Henry Grew, Jr. and Michael Grew both of Anchorage, AK and Paul Grew of E. Greenwich, RI, seven daughters Mary Ann Grew Soltys of Westwood, Virginia Grew of Wellesley, Jane Les of Brighton, Paula Grew of Smyra, GA, Winnie Grew of Oceanside, CA, Patricia Hurlocker of Vista, CA and Joan Grew of Anchorage, AK. Mary was predeceased by four of her children David, Ann, Barbara and Kathryn. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Anne Fitzgerald of Walpole, MA. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she leaves nine grandchildren Jessica Lloyd Jones McCormack, Lisa Lash Granito, Matthew Lash, Brian Lash, Antonina Les, Daria Les, Daniel Grew, Kelsey Hurlocker and Erica Hurlocker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Church of the Most Precious Blood, 30 Centre St, Dover on Friday, November 4 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Highland Cemetery, Dover.
