Mary Mallio Obituary

Mary Johanna (Agurkis) Mallio of Burlington, formerly a long time resident of Needham died on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Sunrise of Burlington from Alzheimer’s disease. She was 89 years old. Mary was born in Lawrence, MA, spent her early life in Boston and lived 49 years in Needham Heights, when she took up residence at Sunrise Senior Living in Burlington. She was as a long-time employee of the William Carter Company. The wife of the late Bartholomew R. (“Pete”) Mallio, she as the mother of Richard Mallio and his wife Osee of Arlington and Palm Bay FL, William Mallio and his wife Nancy of Winchester, and her daughter-in-law, Judy Mallio of Franklin. She was predeceased by two sons, Charles and Stephen. Mary was greatly loved by her grandchildren, Douglass and his wife Heather of Pittsfield, Charlotte and her fiancé Steven Gallant of Mansfield, Lisa Forester of Huntsville, AL, Bartholomew and his wife Janine Manheim of Kings Park, NY, Andrew and his wife Kristi of Westford, Matthew and his wife Sara of Concord, Charles and his wife Kimberly of Franklin, Bonnie Mitchell and her husband Scott of North Attleboro and six great grandchildren. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Friday, March 4 at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 10 AM to11:15 prior to Mass. Interment at the Lithuanian Cooperative Cemetery in Nashua, NH
