Mary D. (Kazarian) McMullin of Needham, died unexpectedly June 11th at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. She was 83 years old. Born on May 29, 1928 in Newton Upper Falls, she was the younger child of Donabed and Mariam Kazarian, who were Armenian immigrants who fled the genocide. Mary graduated from Newton High in 1947.
Mary was married to John P McMullin of Watertown on May 18, 1952 and dedicated her life raising her four sons. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Gamewell Company in Newton, Sandler Shoe Co, in Needham, Massachusetts Indemnity and Life Insurance Company in Wellesley and Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley. She was active with the PTA at the John Eliot Elementary School. Later in life she began traveling to countries such as Greece and the Caribbean. After the death of her husband she became interested in gardening. She was a great mom and was the rock which held the family together. She is survived by her four sons Douglas, Donald, Dennis and Dale and her four grandchildren Shawn, Patrick, Leah and Derek.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years John in 1998, her older brother Ara Kazarian in 2007 and her beloved cat Todd in 2002.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church 800 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday, June 16 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment Newton Cemetery.
