Mary (Dalaklis) Papadonis

Mary (Dalaklis) Papadonis of Needham and West Yarmouth died on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Sunrise Senior Living in Cohasset. She was 89 years old. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Mezikis) Dalaklis. Mrs. Papadonis was a graduate of Salem State College. She taught elementary school at the Harris and Broadmeadow Schools in Needham for many years, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Papadois lived in Needham for over 55 years. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Weston and St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Cape Cod in Centerville, and was a former Sunday School teacher at St. Demetrios for many years. The beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Papadonis she was the loving mother of John N. and his wife Jill of Lowell, Jim and his wife Martha of Medfield and Paul and his wife Mary of Scituate. Sister of Anastasia Rahn of Bethlehem PA and the late Connie Marston. Dear grandmother of Nicholas, Cassandra, Alexander, Michael and Jodi and great grandmother of Jayden and Jacob. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday, February 24 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Services will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Cape Cod, 1130 Falmouth Rd (Rte 28) Centerville on Friday Feb. 25 at 11 AM. Interment Chandler Gray Cemetery, West Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers donation in Mary’s name may be to St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Cape Cod or to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Road Cohasset MA 02025.
