Mary Ellen DeAngelo, of Walpole, Massachusetts was born May 1, 1947 to Mary DeAngelo and Arthur DeAngelo, and was taken to eternal rest on January 26, 2024. She lived most of her life in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. She attended Fontbonne Academy and then Regis College where she graduated with a degree in Mathematics. She spent a year teaching at the Lay Apostolate in New Mexico and served as a middle school math teacher at St. Patrick’s in Watertown. Throughout her life she remained very devoted to her Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew Parish for many years. Lovingly known as “T,” short for “Auntie,” she had three nephews, seven grandnieces and one grandnephew. She was Godmother to all three of her nephews. Mary Ellen loved the Christmas season, especially filling Christmas stockings for her extended family. She doted on her mother, ‘Nana,’ all of her life, providing loving care and companionship. She enjoyed weekly outings with her beloved sister to Saturday afternoon Mass and to dinner, and always looked forward to their shared time together. She is survived by her sister Janet Nedder of Medfield, MA, nephew Joseph Nedder and Antonia Nedder, nephew Robert Nedder, Jr., and nephew Arthur Nedder and Marcy Nedder, and grandnieces Katharine and wife Kylie, Samantha, Cassandra, Victoria, Sabrina, Mikayla and Katie, and grandnephew Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham, on Monday, February 5th at 11:30am. Interment is private.
