Mary Lou Loring of Needham, passed peacefully the morning of August 3rd, 2025. She lived a life that she purposefully centered around her family and friends. We have no doubt that she transitioned into the arms of her late husband, Bob, who she has been missing for over thirty years. She will be dearly missed by her three children, Scott Loring and his wife, Mimi Graney, of Arlington, Donna Thayer and her husband, Paul Thayer, of Newton and Jill McNamara and her partner, Eric Greer of Mansfield. She was a loving Nana to Marilyn Morgan (Gerald Morgan), predeceased by Brian McNamara, Cheryl Pinette (Steve Pinette), Kevin McNamara (Heather McNamara), Jennifer Barrows (Rob Barrows), Carly Thayer, Sam Thayer, and Christopher Dewing and she treasured being “Gigi”, a great grandmother, to Sofia Froehlich, Marilyn Pinette, Vivian Pinette, and Aliana Dewing. Mother in law of Michael McNamara of Attleboro. She also loved being an aunt to Erika Ferreira and Ryan Peterson, the children of her late brother, John Peterson. She was the daughter of her late parents, Frederick and Mary Peterson of Roslindale.
